In the first quarter of 2019, two top mid ranged phone has arrived from Realme and Redmi. The Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro are the top of their famous series. Both phones are launched between March and April. Both phone’s base variant starting from 13,999. People can buy these via online from Flipkart, Amazon and company’s website. It is very difficult to choose one, both phones have their own advantage and a lot of hardware features, which can make them a unique one.
Recently we Zeevlog purchase both of them and using this for a few weeks. Here we discuss and compare them in three segments, let see who is going to win.
Design & Display
Both phones have a 6.3 inches screen and 2340 × 1080 pixel resolution. They also have the same aspect ratio which is 19:5:9 and 409 PPI pixel density. But in terms of design and looks, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is slightly better and attractive. The colour variation and notch display look more vibrant in Redmi Note 7 Pro. Although the screen to body ratio of Realme 3 is 83.5 %(company claimed 90%) while Redmi Note 7 is 81 %, that means the screen is bigger in Realme 3.
In here, the Realme 3 Pro looks better than to the Redmi Note 7 Pro as it uses a 700 series chip while the Redmi phone comes with 600 series processor. The Realme 3 Pro is configured by Snapdragon 710 SoC, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with Snapdragon 675 processor. Both are 10nm chipset. The Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor one year older uses two 2.2 GHz cores based on Qualcomm Kryo 360 cores. It includes two ARM Cortex A75 cores and six ARM Cortex A55 cores. In comparison, the Snapdragon 675 uses Qualcomm Kryo 460 architecture based on ARM Cortex A76 and includes 2 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex cores and six Cortex A76 cores tuned for power efficiency.
Among the two phone, the Snapdragon 675 is little better over the Snapdragon 710 in terms of CPU performance and basically, it is due to the presence of the new ARM Cortex A76 architecture. When it comes to GPU, the Snapdragon 710 completely wins over the Snapdragon 675 as it uses Adreno 616 GPU while the SD-675 has Adreno 612 GPU. This means the GPU performance of the Realme 3 Pro will be better than the Redmi, while the CPU performance of Realme is almost similar to the Redmi phone.
But in real life for daily usage it doesn’t really matter how fast they are, both are the best in speed in terms of mid-range budget. But for the gamers there the Realme 3 Pro phone will be slightly better than Note 7 Pro.
In this segment, it is very tough to decide or pick up any particular one. The Readmi Note 7 has a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with 5MP depth support, and a 13MP AI front camera in video recording it can support 4K with 30fps and also have EIS, for control the shaking.
And in Realme 3 prom has a 16 MP + 5 MP Rear Camera with Sony IMX519 Sensor, and a 25 MP selfie camera. Both cameras has its own advantage, all they do decent work in any light condition, but in very low light the Redmi phone is much better but in slow motion video the Realme is better. So, there is no specific winner, here it’s a draw.
But if we see other components and software, there is a little advantage in Realme 3 Pro. Both phones can support fast charge but Realme Company gives a Super VOOC charger including this phone but in Note 7 Pro box there is an ordinary charger.
Zeevlog doesn’t promote or sell any phone we are here to compare them and tell people the truth and select the best one with our own opinion. But at least we can say, these two are the best in this range and purchasing anyone will not disappoint you.
